Dr. Micky has always known the kind of pediatrician she wanted to be: the kind with time to listen, room to look closer, and the freedom to say “let’s keep going” when something doesn’t feel right. Zest gives her exactly that.

A board-certified pediatrician trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, she has cared for Burbank families since 2015 and spent more than a decade on the faculty of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She’s had the privilege of watching newborns grow into toddlers, toddlers into schoolkids, schoolkids into teenagers—and of welcoming many a second, third, and fourth baby along the way. That continuity, knowing the whole child and the whole family, is the part she loves most.

What sets her apart is the extra training she’s pursued for the families who need a little more. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and Advanced Care Autism Specialist, she brings specialized, unhurried care to feeding challenges, eating disorders, autism, and developmental concerns. Named a Top Doctor or Super Doctor every year since 2018, she still counts “we trust you” as the highest honor of all. Her approach is warm, direct, and collaborative—and “it's probably nothing” is never where the conversation ends.

Off the clock, she’s an award-winning young-adult author writing as Micky O’Brady, and a Krav Maga instructor with second-degree black belts in Krav Maga and Judo. She runs on Earl Grey—hot—and Nutella straight from the jar. She shares her home with her husband, teenage son, and Monty, a miniature Schnauzer fully convinced he’s in charge.

Dr. Rungsima Vayupakparnonde (“Dr. Rung”) launched Zest Pediatrics of Burbank with a simple vision: to create a practice where children and families come first, relationships are valued, and every visit is guided by compassion, trust, and personalized care.

A board-certified pediatrician with more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Rungsima has been caring for families in the Burbank community since 2015. She has had the privilege of building lasting relationships with parents and children, many beginning before a baby is even born and continuing through every stage of childhood. She is known for taking the time to listen, answer questions thoughtfully, and help parents feel informed, supported, and confident in their child’s care.

Her clinical interests include newborn care, preventive medicine, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, nutrition, asthma, allergies, eczema, and adolescent health. Throughout her career, she has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Pasadena Magazine and Los Angeles Magazine and has been named to the Southern California Super Doctors list for multiple consecutive years. While she is grateful for these honors, the greatest privilege of her career has been earning the trust of families and watching the children she cares for grow into healthy, confident young adults.

Outside the office, Dr. Rungsima enjoys practicing yoga, staying active, spending time with her family, and cheering on her children at their sporting events.
