    Farrow DuRant, MD, FAAP

    Dr. Farrow DuRant has spent her career doing what she loves most: caring for the children of Mt. Pleasant. After more than a decade practicing pediatrics in the Charleston area, she knows these families. She knows this community. And at Zest, she finally has the time and space to deliver the care she believes every family here deserves.

    For Dr. DuRant, that means unhurried visits, real relationships, and a doctor you can actually text and get a prompt response. It is the kind of practice she has always dreamed about.

    Dr. DuRant grew up in Greenville, SC and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Wofford College. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, then completed her pediatric residency at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, where she was honored as both Resident Teacher of the Year and Chief Resident. She has been board-certified in pediatrics since 2008 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Her patients notice. Charleston Women's Magazine recognized her with the She Shines Award in both 2025 and 2026, a reflection of the trust she has built with families across the community.

    Mt. Pleasant is not just where Dr. DuRant practices. It is home. She and her husband, Dr. Robert DuRant, a child psychiatrist also practicing in the area, have put down deep roots in Mt. Pleasant, with three children in local schools. This community is where their family is rooted, and it shows in everything she does.

One of our goals at Zest Pediatrics® is to make medical care as transparent as possible. This means no surprise medical bills. Unlike Insurance based medical care, our payment structure is simple. Based on the size of your family and ages of your children, your family is charged one monthly rate and that includes everything that our doctors do for you at the office. No co-pays for appointments or surprise charges for in office labs or forms. Just one straight-forward, simple monthly charge.
