Families will gain a deeper understanding of how involving children in meal choices and food preparation supports healthy eating habits, independence, and confidence around food. When children help choose ingredients, prepare meals, and set the table, they are more likely to feel ownership over what they eat and develop a positive relationship with food.

The session will also highlight the many benefits of eating together as a family, including improved communication, emotional connection, and better eating behaviours. Shared mealtimes create routine, reduce stress around food, and model healthy habits that children can carry into adulthood.
